Sand Rock Farm Wedding | Autumn & Steve

Hi everyone,

I wanted to show you all some of the photographs from a recent shoot in Aptos, California. This beautiful setup took place at Sand Rock Farm Bed & Breakfast, a gorgeous inn located on a winding road through the wooded hills of Aptos, just minutes from Santa Cruz.

All of the vendors were so incredibly talented - Expressions Floral created beautiful blue and white floral arrangements and incorporated the trendy pompas grass! The table decor and the stunning dusty blue table runner was provided by White Spark Events, and the gorgeous hand-torn menus were provided by Little Sister Creative Studio, beautiful calligraphy created by Wild Quill Calligraphy. Table runners are so elegant, and it works so well on cottage and farm tables - these tables & chairs were provided by View Point Events. All of the talented vendors that participated will be listed below at the bottom of this post!

This blue and gold cake was created by Buttercup Cakes & Farmhouse Frosting. They are a local bakery in Santa Cruz, and Annie did an amazing job on this gorgeous cake! We incorporated some of the florals once we were finished with the table photos, and the gold accents with it really pulled everything together.

How gorgeous is this dress?! I was so in love with how beautiful it was, it’s the style Zoella from Silviyana. The lace detail was unlike anything I’ve seen, it has small floral decals around the bodice. The hair and makeup was all done by Teri at Charismatic Bride - she slayed it! The neutral tones in the makeup made Autumn’s brown eyes pop, and worked so beautifully together with the pops of blue in the flowers and suit.

The venue’s cat also decided to join us! She was so sweet, and followed us around the entire time. She just wanted to be a part of the session, so I had to get a few photos of her too! The lighting here was actually very challenging to work with. I am in LOVE with how the final results turned out though! It couldn’t have been more perfect - but this is a great example of how we utilize light to our advantage. The light was very harsh coming in the bottom half of the photo, which made her dress way too bright and overexposed. I managed to even everything out thanks to Photoshop and adjusting my aperture! And now I am so happy with how these turned out - definitely some of my favorites from the day. :)
