Belmont Engagement Session | Emily & Jeffrey

Hi friends!

Today’s blog post is all about this beautiful engagement session with Emily & Jeffrey! It was a gorgeous, 70-degree summer day in Belmont, California. The sun was shining, and I was excited to photograph this adorable couple right here! We started the session at their house - I always tell my couples to pick a place that has some significance to them, maybe somewhere they spend a lot of time together. Plus, they had the CUTEST cats, both of which were wearing adorable little ties for the photoshoot!

After a few photos as their place, we decided to walk down to an opening in a nearby park behind their house, called Water Dog Lake Park. After walking down a path lined with trees (and stopping every few minutes for a quick photo because the light was perfect), we came to a clearing with a lake in the middle, with cascading mountains in the background. It was so stunning, and this is one of my favorite things about California - all of the beautiful mountains everywhere. Shooting portraits near sunset also gives a hazy effect, as you can see in some of the pictures near the end (which I LOVE).
