Baby Thomas

Hey everyone! Hope you’re all enjoying this cloudy Tuesday! As some of you may know, I have worked with Bella Baby for over a year now, and have photographed over 600 babies! However, this is one of my first in-home photoshoots, so needless to say I was incredibly excited when this sweet family reached out to me for newborn photos! I had a little basket to use, and a blue swaddle too. Other than that, I typically use what the family owns to add their style and taste into the photos!

This little guy’s name is Thomas, and he was just the sweetest!! He’s got big beautiful eyes, a sweet little smirk, and a little attitude when he is woken up from his naps. When he’s woken up, he assumes that it is time to eat, so the key here is really to keep him sleeping as much as possible. To do this, I typically start with baby completely swaddled (which will usually wake them up for a minute) and gradually move into belly pose and a few diaper shots when he’s sleepy.

We finished up using the basket, and tried to feed him a little bit more so he would settle down since he was getting a bit fussy. After all of that and letting him settle down a little bit, we did some more in his cute little teal swaddle on the bed. His eyes were wide open, and he was just looking around at everything for a while, just being super alert. I got the parents involved for a few pictures, as well as his aunt!
