Nestldown Fall Wedding

Hi everyone!

This blog post is all about one of my favorite weddings that I have ever photographed. This beautiful wedding took place at Nestldown, a wedding venue tucked away in the redwood forests of the Santa Cruz Mountains. We took a short taxi ride from the venue into the redwoods, and set up camp there for the first look, bride & groom portraits and the bridal party photos. It was the perfect spot, and the perfect time of day - the sun was just at the right angle that it was filtering through the trees, and providing a stunning glow.

The ceremony was a short walk from the reception hall, nestled among the beautiful redwoods in a small clearing. The bride walked down a cascading flight of stairs, with the sunlight glowing behind her. The bride and groom were laughing the entire time (and I gotta say, that minister had a great sense of humor).

The reception was just as beautiful - succulents accenting each table, with shades of green and gold plated names on each plate. This was one of my favorite weddings that I have been able to photograph in the Bay Area; everything about this day was so magical.
